The Infrastructure and construction sectors are continuing to get busier in the capital and as new projects come online there is a need for more specialists to keep up with the pace. This specialist concrete subcontractor has just secured a new project to start at the end of May and is looking for an experienced foreman to run the crew on a daily basis.
As a foreman you will have worked your way up from the tools and have extensive experience working with concrete in formwork and shuttering. Your experience can come from a range of different projects but the understanding and use of concrete is essential to this role. The foreman leads by example and so your ability to jump on the tools and guide or assist your team when needed is invaluable. You’ll be comfortable running a crew of up to 10 and be responsible for allocating duties through daily briefings and making sure health and safety is adhered to throughout. Ideal requirements for the role include,
- A minimum of 3 years working as a foreman with a civil or construction contractor
- Excellent experience working with concrete
- Excellent team management and H&S focus
Ideally the successful candidate will look to live in Wellington but there is a fly in fly out option for someone based in Christchurch if required. This is a great opportunity to join an upcoming subcontractor and your successful application will see you secure and excellent hourly rate and a company vehicle. If this great opportunity is of interest then contact Phil on +6421489367 or send a copy of your CV across to firstname.lastname@example.org.
