Civil Project Manager – Water & Wastewater – Auckland Region
This is a new and immediate position for an experienced water and wastewater based Project Manager in Auckland and the surrounding region. This tier one civil contractor works throughout the North and South Island in a variety of disciplines including water, highways, power and telecoms. They are currently looking to increase the size of their water division and have an immediate need for a Project Manager with experience in that field.
The main focus of the work will be on the maintenance and construction of water related infrastructure including water treatment works and pipelines. We are looking for a specialist so water and wastewater projects must make up a significant part of your experience. You will have a minimum of ten years site based experience with a civil contractor with three of those as a Project Manager or Site Agent.
Projects will vary and so experience of a range of projects will be beneficial. At any time you may be running one large project or multiple smaller ones ad the market dictates. You will have experience of programming and planning work for your team as well as a solid understanding of commercial factors associated with your part of the project. Health and safety will be a primary concern and you will have a proven track record of good working relationships with client representatives and other stakeholders. Other attributes include,
- An industry based degree or similar
- Good IT skills with programmes such as MS Project, Cad etc.
- A sense of humour and a desire to lead in this sector
