It’s proving to be a busy year for the civil and infrastructure sector and with a number of major projects with values of $800m+ starting late 2022 or early 2023. I’m working with one of New Zealand’s premier civil contractors, specializing in the heavy civil and major project space, to secure commercial expertise for these upcoming projects and the broader business. As a contractor they work around the country and have proved themselves time and time again in the delivery of projects that are shaping New Zealand. They have a long standing track record of recruiting from overseas, and those that have made the move have developed both their experience and careers whilst enjoying all NZ has to offer.
As part of the search my client is heading to the UK in August to meet with candidates face to face so they’re keen to start the interview process sooner than later. Specifically they are on the lookout for,
- Commercial Managers
- Quantity Surveyors
- Project Controllers
They are looking for qualified professionals with experience of civil and infrastructure works wanting to be part of a successful team. Much of the focus will be on major projects and structures work, and so although experience in this space would be advantageous, good general commercial experience will be welcomed. Locations vary and so there is opportunity for those who like the city life and those who enjoy a more rural lifestyle.
Successful applicants will be offered permanent positions with excellent salaries and a broader package that includes relocation and immigration assistance. The New Zealand immigration process is now more welcoming than ever for the infrastructure sector so if you’re looking to work overseas for a few years or make New Zealand home, these opportunities will work well for you.
