The Auckland construction market continues to grow and the future continues to look positive for the industry. Both large main contractors and smaller subcontractors are seeing the benefits and are looking to grow to make the most of what’s ahead. As part of their own development this subcontractor is looking for an Operations Manager to take control of their project delivery allowing the CEO to focus on broader business development.

In a short time this company has become one of the leading lights in the passive fire protection space and now boasts some of New Zealand’s leading construction contractors as regular clients. Focussing on lifting industry standards and developing new technologies has meant that this company is setting the bar for the rest of the industry and the results are showing. Client demand is encouraging further business growth and the appointment of the new Operations Manager will allow that growth to happen. The aim is to double the size of the business in the next two years and the Operations Manager will be instrumental in that process whilst at the same time maintaining the current standards of project delivery.

As Operations Manager you will be one of the senior leadership team and be directly responsible for delivering the goals and budgets of the installation team. You will work closely with the site supervisors in the allocation of staff to each project and liaise directly with associated clients, other subcontractors and councils. You will be responsible for maintaining the already high standards of H&S and offer full support on construction methodologies and delivery. As a successful applicant you will have;

  • A degree in construction or equivalent industry training
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Project Management role in the construction space
  • A proven track record of leading a successful construction team
  • Be commercially and contractually knowledgeable in the construction space
  • Have a desire to be part of a new and exciting operation that is taking the construction market by storm
