Quality Assurance Manager – Precast – Auckland
As companies move forward from lockdown restrictions they are quickly seeing an increase in activity and looking to boost their teams to keep up with the workload. My client is a specialist concrete manufacturer working with the construction and infrastructure sectors and has a current requirement for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team to work on a variety of projects within their business.
Part of the management team the Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Delivery Manager and has responsibility for projects within the upper North Island. As Quality Assurance Manager you are responsible for quality adherence throughout the production facility. You will manage concrete sampling and testing to ensure product conforms to design requirements and manage the delivery of all pre-pour and post-pour checks. You will also be responsible for identifying any quality issues, remedy them and modify working practice to avoid reoccurrence. You will work closely with Project Managers on any planning variables and engineering changes to ensure delivery targets are met and you will provide final sign-off and approval on all product prior to delivery.
Your background can be varied and come from the civil or construction sector but your understanding of pre-cast and prestressed concrete is essential. Ideally you will have held responsibility for concrete manufacture in the past or an equivalent Quality Assurance position. On-going training will be offered but you will be expected to hit the ground running!
Other desirable attributes include,
- A degree or equivalent industry qualification/experience
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a concrete manufacturing or equivalent QA related role
- A good understanding of NZ requirements/standards
- Good IT and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver high standards in the workplace
- A team player who wants to continue a successful career in the industry
Your successful application will result in an excellent salary and package in line with your experience and the skills you bring to the role. If you want to continue your career with an organisation that appreciates your experience and can offer you a future that this is the opportunity for you.
