Quantity Surveyors – Commercial Building – NZ Contractor visiting UK

The activity in the construction sector in New Zealand will significantly lift again in 2020 with a massive number of private and government run projects due to start. One of New Zealand’s leading commercial building contractors is heading to the UK as part of a recruitment drive. They have been successful in recruiting from overseas for some years but with the increase in workload coming up they are pulling out all the stops to hire the best people.

A national company, they have offices in all the main centres of New Zealand and in many of those regions they dominate the construction landscape. Much of the focus for this visit is on Auckland, New Zealand’s biggest city, and the current centre for major infrastructure and construction work. That said other parts of the country are also seeing a lift in activity and they will also be keeping an eye open for other regions whilst they are here.

The visit is due to take place at the end of March and senior managers will be holding interviews in London and Manchester with the intention of making offers on the back on successful interviews. Specialising in the commercial build sector they are particularly interested in those with experience working for tier 1 or 2 contractors on airports, railway stations, university and hospitals but they are also keen to see CV’s from candidates with other construction experience as well.

There is a particular interest in meeting Quantity Surveyors with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the commercial building sector. You will have a proven track record of working on large construction projects and have the drive and ambition to make your mark on the construction sector in New Zealand.

As well as offering a great career move, you will be offered a great package that includes a top salary, vehicle and relocation assistance. This is a great opportunity to meet clients face to face but you must move quickly. If this is of interest send a copy of your CV in confidence to Phil at and I will be back in touch.
