Are you an experienced Civil Project Manager looking for your next challenge with a respected industry leader? My client, a leading civil contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Canterbury, is seeking a talented Project Manager to join their Christchurch team.
You’ll take full responsibility for the successful delivery of key civil infrastructure projects – typically valued at $10M+ – covering a diverse range of works including structures, wastewater, and marine developments. Working closely with senior management and site teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project delivery, from planning through to completion
- Lead and mentor project and site teams to achieve excellence in safety, quality, and performance
- Oversee cost control, procurement, and contract administration
- Build and maintain strong client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships
- Drive a positive, solutions-focused culture on site
About You
- Proven experience managing civil projects of $10M+ value
- Strong background in structures, wastewater, or marine works (desirable)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Commercially astute with a solid understanding of contracts and cost management
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry qualification
- A proactive, positive approach and ability to motivate teams
