Are you ready to step into a leadership role on one of the Wellington region’s flagship infrastructure projects? We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering complex, large-scale civil works.
About the Role
As a key member of the project leadership team, you will take ownership of engineering delivery across structures, concrete, and road-based work packages. You’ll lead and mentor a team of three or more engineers, ensuring high-quality technical outcomes while driving programme, commercial performance, and safety excellence. Position requirements include,
- 8+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure, ideally on major projects
- A degree or industry based qualification in civil engineering or similar
- Strong background across structures, concrete works, and road construction
- Proven success leading and developing a team of engineers
- Solid commercial and contractual understanding
- Strong forward-planning skills with the ability to anticipate constraints and risks
- Confident subcontractor management and stakeholder coordination
