Due to a successful tender my tier 1 client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Auckland. As a Project Manager you will be degree qualified (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the industry with a civil contractor. Ideally you will have had exposure to a range of civil works but good engineering skills and practices are the main requirement for this role. In your role as Project Manager you will run a team of site and project engineers and work closely with subcontractors on a range of civil work including subdivision, utilities, roading and water/wastewater.

As well as the delivery of successful project you will be heavily involved with business development and be working with clients to secure further work. Projects will be in and around Auckland working with a range of private and council/government clients. You could already be working as a PM or be looking to step up into a PM role, as long as you have the desire to succeed and have some good experience to back you up.

Other desirable attributes include,

  • A degree or equivalent in civil engineering or similar
  • 6 years’ experience with a civil contractor
  • Experience of working on project valued at $500k or above
  • Great communication and IT skills
  • A sense of humour and a desire to do a great job
