My client is a leading international heavy civil contractor running a number of key infrastructure projects around Australia valued in the billions. In order for these projects to be a success there is a need to recruit top talent from around the world and as such they are now searching for a number of Civil Quantity Surveyors.
Civil Quantity Surveyors, or Contract & Subcontract Administrators as they’re known in Australia, are an essential part of the commercial team ensuring the financial success of the project. Your role is to ensure contractual and financial management to ensure risks are minimized and positive project results are achieved.
As Contract Administrator you will be working as part of a larger commercial team, managing the progress of payment claims, variations, contractual claims and final accounts. Projects of this scale require significant financial and contractual diligence so it is essential that you are able to multi task and manage your workload appropriately. Attention to detail is a must as the ability to monitor and meet deadlines throughout.
You will have the appropriate qualifications and a minimum of 5 years’ experience on major infrastructure projects. Other requirements include,
- A degree in quantity surveying or other tertiary qualification
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial and contractual requirements on civil projects
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
- A strong proactive approach and good verbal and written skills
- A desire to develop and advance your career
