They are seeking a seasoned Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead our dynamic team in managing and delivering a variety of challenging projects in and around the Christchurch region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience with a civil contractor, focusing on bridges, dams, water treatment plants, and other concrete-based heavy civil projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil projects from inception to completion
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure successful project outcomes
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to project teams to optimize performance and achieve project goals
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with a civil contractor, focusing on bridges, dams, water treatment plants, and other concrete-based heavy civil projects
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within budget and schedule constraints
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, contract administration, and construction processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is preferred
