2020 is closing in and with a major project due to start this client is looking to secure the services of a Project Manager with experience in heavy civil and structures work. As a company they work throughout Australasia and have completed some of the most ingenious and complicated heavy civil, structures and marine projects around including bridges, water treatment works, wharfs, rail, tunneling, piling and foundation works, roads and major concrete works. This is not just a key role for the project but also an opportunity to be a big part of the company into the future.

As a Project Manager you will have a minimum of 12 years’ experience in the industry with a civil contractor, with at least five years in a project management position. Your broader civil and infrastructure experience will be beneficial but it is essential that the bulk of your focus has been on heavy civil and water projects such as water treatment works, bridges etc. In your role as Project Manager you will be comfortable managing budgets and other commercial matters, staffing requirements, health and safety, planning and programming as well as liaising closely with all stakeholders including clients, local and national government bodies and the public.

Other desirable attributes include,

  • A degree or equivalent industry qualification
  • Experience of projects of $50 million or above
  • Excellent man management, communication and IT skills
  • A sense of humour and a desire to do a great job
