Due to a significant increase in business activity throughout New Zealand and Australia there is an immediate requirement for a supervisor to join this industry specialist. This international company specialises in supplying technical products and refractory services to clients in the Pacific region from their Auckland base.
This company boasts a team of specialist qualified refractory bricklayer’s working on a variety of projects ranging from aluminium smelters to crematoriums. There is now an immediate need for a supervisor to join the team and work on site maintaining the high standards already in place. As this is a supervisory role it’s not essential that you come from a background in refractory work, indeed any site based background such as construction or infrastructure would be an ideal fit for this role.
As supervisor you will have a good understanding of running a team of specialists on a project, making sure that everything runs smoothly and dealing with any problems as they arise. You will have a good understanding of health and safety, the ability to read and understand technical drawings, experience of man management, experience of ordering materials and liaising with clients and other subcontractors.
If this is a new sector to you than this client will happily put you through the appropriate courses and training so that you become more familiar with the environment and are able to have a bigger input into the projects. The bulk of the work will be based in New Zealand and there is a significant degree of travel involved meaning you could be away from home for a day or anything up to 2 weeks depending on the project. There is also the potential for some overseas travel, though this is more limited, to locations in Australia or the Pacific Islands.
If successful you will receive an excellent salary or hourly rate (your preference) in line with your experience. This position is immediately available and those interested to take the opportunity to apply quickly. This is a physically demanding position and as such applicants will need to complete a standard medical which includes drug testing. If this role appeals to you then send a copy of your CV to Phil at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact me on +64 21 489 367.
