Water infrastructure is under the spotlight around New Zealand and there is an increasing amount of activity ahead in this space. 3 waters (water supply, wastewater and stormwater) is a critical part of New Zealand’s infrastructure and as such we need the best people managing those services.
Based in the Coromandel my client is looking for a manager to maintain the existing water infrastructure as well as develop long term plans and strategies for infrastructure development through capital works. From a technical perspective a solid understanding of the 3 waters apace will allow for well thought out strategies around water assets. Alongside the technical, the managerial aspect of the role includes the mentoring and development of the existing water operations team. As Water Manager you will be able to balance both of these aspects to realise the effective and efficient running of the water division.
This is a key role and will work well for someone with existing water management experience or someone looking to step up into that managerial space from an engineering role. Desirable attributes for the role include,
- A tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar industry
- A minimum of 6 years industry experience, primarily in 3 waters
- The ability to lead a team of engineers and operators
- Good IT, planning and communication skills
Your successful application will see you receive an excellent package and the opportunity to develop your career. There is an immediate need to fill this role and my client is keen to fill the role as soon as possible. Send me a copy of your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can take your application from there.
