An opportunity has opened with New Zealand’s leading heavy civil contractor for an experienced Marine Piling Superintendent to join a major infrastructure project commencing later this year. This is a key leadership role on a high-profile marine works package, within a contractor known for delivering complex projects safely and successfully.
As Marine Piling Superintendent, you will take full responsibility for planning, organising, and delivering marine piling operations on a large-scale civil infrastructure project. You’ll work closely with project leadership, engineers, and site teams to ensure piling activities run smoothly, safely, and to programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising all marine piling operations
- Detailed planning and coordination of piling works, resources, and plant
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance
- Managing subcontractors and specialist marine crews
- Driving productivity and resolving construction challenges as they arise
- Contributing to programme certainty and successful project delivery
About You
You will be a proven superintendent with hands-on marine piling experience on major civil or infrastructure projects. Other ideal attributes include,
- Strong planning, sequencing, and organisational skills
- A proactive, safety-first leadership style
- The ability to manage complex marine operations in live environments
- Experience working with heavy marine plant and specialist piling equipment
