Are you an experienced Structures Project Manager looking to take the lead on some of New Zealand’s most significant infrastructure projects? My client is one of New Zealand’s leading Tier 1 civil contractors, delivering landmark projects that shape communities and leave a lasting legacy. Due to continued growth and a strong forward workload, they are seeking an accomplished Structures Project Manager to join their Auckland team.
This is an opportunity to lead the successful delivery of technically challenging civil structures projects while working alongside some of the industry’s best engineers and construction professionals. You’ll be responsible for managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Projects will include:
- Major bridge construction
- Water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Large retaining structures
- Highway and transport infrastructure
- Pipelines and underground structures
- Marine and heavy civil structures
- Complex reinforced concrete structures
You’ll lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage subcontractors and self-perform crews, build strong client relationships and maintain commercial performance across every stage of delivery. The successful candidate will ideally have,
- A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 10 years’ civil engineering experience with a civil contractor
- Significant experience delivering complex civil structures projects
- Strong site-based project delivery experience
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Sound commercial and contractual understanding
- A strong commitment to health, safety and quality
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
