Our client is a highly respected specialist subcontractor delivering complex concrete and structural works across the civil, infrastructure and construction sectors. With a strong pipeline of projects throughout New Zealand and continued business growth, they are looking to add a motivated Site Engineer to their Christchurch-based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has gained some experience in concrete or structural construction and is looking to accelerate their career with a company that genuinely invests in its people. Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of specialist structural works on a diverse range of projects across New Zealand. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of site operations
- Setting out and surveying works
- Monitoring quality, safety and programme performance
- Preparing site documentation and project records
- Working closely with clients, consultants and project teams
- Liaising with the commercial and estimating team
- Supporting the successful delivery of projects from start to finish
We’re looking for someone with the right attitude as much as the right experience. You’ll ideally have:
- A qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline
- Some practical experience in civil construction, concrete or structural works
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
- A genuine desire to learn, develop and build a long-term career
- The flexibility to work on projects throughout New Zealand when required
